Trusting God’s promises is not always easy. The world is broken, our bodies get broken, our hearts get broken and it is so easy to be discouraged and even want to give up on our hopes and dreams. How do you keep from throwing in the towel? Go back to God’s demonstrated faithfulness in the past, both from the Bible and from your past, and be reminded of His faithfulness. He hasn’t changed. Remember that just like all who trusted God were rewarded, so your faith will be one day as well.

What were some of the ways God was faithful to you in the past? Praise Him!
Prayer:
Lord, when I face difficult situations in the present or worry about the future, help me to remember the faithfulness and love you have always provided, and that you will never change.
