About Stephen Ministry
Bear one another’s burdens, and in this way you will fulfill the law of Christ. (Galations 6:2, NRSV)
There Is No Need To Struggle Alone!
Everyone goes through difficult times. When you have someone to care, to listen, to share God’s love with you can help you get through the confusion, stress, or loneliness you may be experiencing. God does not intend for you to struggle alone.
Stephen Ministry is available for anyone who is facing overwhelming needs for care: hospitalization, grieving, suffering, loneliness or discouragement, divorce or separation, unemployment, accidents, and the list goes on.
Consider allowing a Stephen Minister to walk with you on your journey to wholeness.
what is Stephen Ministry?
Stephen Ministry is a one-to-one lay caring ministry that takes place in congregations like Hope Church that use the Stephen Series system.
Stephen Ministry congregations equip and empower lay caregivers-called Stephen Ministers – to provide high-quality, confidential, Christ-centered care to people who are hurting.
Stephen Ministers are trained in the congregation by Stephen Leaders.
Stephen Ministers are Lay Caregivers who are Hope Members trained by Stephen Leaders to offer high-quality, one-to-one Christian care to people going through tough times.
A Stephen Minister usually provides care to one person at a time, meeting with that person once a week for about an hour. Twice a month, Stephen Ministers gather with their Stephen Leaders for supervision and continuing education.
