It's the place to be for children
ages 3 (and potty trained)
through the 8th grade!
Hope Lutheran Church has been offering Vacation Bible School to the community for over 70 years. Our primary purpose is to share the love of Jesus with each and every child, letting them know how much they matter to God. Everything we do is focused on children. Each day is packed with active, exciting fun-filled Bible adventures.

VBS Frequently Asked Questions:
What is Vacation Bible School (VBS)? VBS is a child-centered program that presents the Good News of Jesus Christ in a fun, creative and age-appropriate environment. It is a power-packed week of adventure where the children explore God's Truth and His unique love for them.
Who Attends? We welcome ALL children to our VBS! Classes are available for children who are three years old by April 1, 2013 to children entering the 8th grade in September 2013. Children must be toilet-trained.
How do I register my children for VBS? You can register online or download a registration form after May 1st. Forms can be faxed to 723-8549 or mailed to Hope Church, 1301 Vintage Lane, Rochester, NY 14626.
Is there a charge for Vacation Bible School? There is no charge for Hope's Vacation Bible School program. A freewill offering is collected each day; envelopes will be sent home with your child.
If my child brings a friend to VBS, can the friend be in the same class as my child? Yes, as long as they are in the same department. Because our lessons and crafts are designed to be age-appropriate, we keep the children in the class that fits their age. All friends must register before going to class.
Can my child come more than one week? No. We run the same program each week. You may pick whichever week is more convenient for your family.
If my child cannot come every day the first week, can he/she make up the days he/she missed during the next week? No. Because of the nature of the program, we must limit attendance to one week only.
Does Hope provide transportation to VBS? No. Hope Church is not equipped to provide or arrange transportation for Vacation Bible School.
If you have any other questions, please contact Sarah Butler, Vacation Bible School Director at 723-4673.
